Holiday (not referring to madonna or christmukkah)

So last night I was watching some random television during my 1:30am ice-cream study break (french vanilla with chocolate syrup....thats right), and as I was flipping channels I got caught on B4U (as in bollywood for you). They were showing some trailers for new movies, and this one movie called Holiday (with some no-names, no SRK or Ash this time) really got my attention. The tagline was just so awesome:

"This holiday come fall in love.....with yourself".

Is that sheer genius or what? Gotta love the brown movies.

literary SOS

hey all y'all.

When final time rolls around, dont you find yourself spending unholy amounts of time thinking about things that have no relevance to the near future? For instance, yesterday i spent a good hour and a half looking at my schedule for next year, searching through classes, and trying to make my final exam schedule a little less horrifying....which I didnt accomplish by the way. I was also thinking about doing some reading this christmas break. Since I'll be going to India, I'll be spending a good two days in the air, so I thought some fictional companionship would be a nice alternative to staring at clouds, which is only entertaining for an hour...two at most.

So here's where you all come in. I need some suggestions. I usually judge books by their covers (you know you do too), but I find that whenever i read a book thats been suggested to me (by someone other than Oprah, who can keep her opinions to herself...Oprahs book cult I say), Im usually pretty pleased. So what Im looking for is some light reading... a book that doesnt require an english lit class to decipher its meaning. Other than that Im not too picky. So yes, any suggestions would be much appreciated!

god bless genetic engineering

Although I should be slaving away at my psych paper while simultaneously studying for my physics final thats on tuesday, I have to take a minute to say how much i love chinese apple pears.

I know what youre thinking. Manik's lost her mind. Either that or you're shocked as hell that Manik actually eats fruit. Well I havent, and I do. Chinese apple pears are oh-so-delicious and the official food of the night-time cram session. If you havent had one lately, drop everything youre doing and go to safeway, or sobey's or whatever grocery establishment you choose.

Thank you you chinese god that mated an apple and a pear. i salute you.
