On a side note...

I was eating honey nut cheerios this morning (its a honey of an O) and on the back they were advertising this game thing where you collect these magnetic game pieces called Tengamo, and it got me thinking about all the useless fads of my past. Does anyone remember pogs? They were so popular in late-ish elementary school. I had so many pogs, and an awesome metal 'slammer' I think they were called. Its funny, I dont think I ever really knew how to play pogs properly.

marbles and pogs were such gambling for my elementary. there's the one where if you hit the other person's marble with yours, then you keep theirs. the pogs was whoever threw it closer to the wall of the portable got to keep the other guys pog. it was an economy in action. i remember mr. helgren playing with us too, haha.

Do people still show up at elementary schools and try to sell the kids yo-yos by doing a bunch of tricks? They used to do this all the time when I was in school. Pogs were a little after my time.
