miss me?
Wow its been a while.
Anyhoo, another year over. Cant believe Im so close to graduating (though not as close as lauren). As another exam period roles around, I find myself procrastinating as usual. Since I dont have an exam till friday (two on friday actually) I havent really felt the panic hit yet, which as you all know, isnt a good thing. You need that panic to keep you driven. But I figured, since the last couple of weeks have been HELL, academically speaking, I deserve a couple of panic free days. In the last three days of school I had two papers due, a final, a midterm, and three assignments due...none of which went very well. So while I should have been studying, trying to get me butt out of hot water, this is what Ive been doing instead:
- sleeping until ungodly hours
- watching random movies on SOD and movie channels
- reading V for Vendetta (courtesy of Ryan...extremely good by the way, Im done it now and Im sad)
- downloading all 5 seasons of X-men unlimited (the 90s cartoon- 10GB!! Its a monster)
- facebook (I knew it was a bad idea when I signed up)
- cleaning my room (yes, Im that desperate to do other things)
- finding out how old and how tall random actors/actresses are on IMDB (this one is really sad, I know)
How about y'all?

Two things.
1) I'm glad you enjoyed V and the insanity that is Alan Moore. Have you seen the film yet? If so, were you crushed to realize how much better the book is? You should now give Watchmen a go. However, you should truly wait until exams are over as it is ten times more engrossing than V. You'll understand when you start reading.
2) You think you can just come back to the blogosphere whenever the fuck you want? I don't even know why I keep your RSS around.

two things.
1) No i havent seen the movie yet. I can imagine it would be really hard to translate all the madness to the screen, but thats the case with most book -> movie situations. And yes, Watchmen stays far away from me until exams finish.
2) You keep my RSS around because you love me. Dont deny.

Two more things.
1) Feel free to borrow it after Manik, Lauren. I talked to Rob about it too. He vaguely expressed interest as well.
2) Umm... I don't have much to say about RSS anymore except it's really... good.

Im ending the "two things" thing now, since I only have one thing.
I dont think there is one person in the world who envisioned Tom Hanks for Da Vinci Code. Its a let down, but then again, Tom Hanks is a pretty exceptional actor and you usually forget he's "tom hanks" when he's in a movie. He gets into character really well. He better do it justice. Im gonna have to give that a re-read as well before may 19th.
May's gonna be a good month. DaVinci one week followed by X3 the next! Cant wait!!

facebook is a colossal waste of time. its basically this intra-university thing where you set up a profile where you can put up pictures and whatnot, and where people can write messages to you. you can see the profiles of anyone who goes to uofa, and add friends etc, and you can add friends from other universities....its baasically a popularity contest.
Its so stupid, and yet so addictive! because of your voyeuristic tendencies (with the peeping through the glass walls..you know what Im taking about) you may enjoy it ;)
did I miss anything lauren?

Sooo.... it's just another horrid form of social networking? [nexopia, myspace, friendster, et al.]
Horrid and a social travesty.
